In the opening days of Spring, Ultimate Winery Experiences has announced the addition of two new members into its Australian collection - Gemtree Wines, located in McLaren Vale, and Sirromet, located in Mount Cotton producing wine from the renowned Granite Belt region.
Gemtree Wines consists of 306 acres of vineyards that are certified organic and biodynamic. For owners Melissa and Mike Brown, their job is not just about the winemaking itself, but also about setting a new standard in sustainble, generational farming. Gemtree's sustainably built Cellar Door sees spectacular elevated views over McLaren Vale, all the way to the ocean beyond. The Gemtree Biodynamic Hut is located at the Cellar Door, and provides an informal interactive experience to visitors, giving a deeper understanding of biodynamic viticulture. A kilometre-long Gemtree Ecotrail is also a highlight of the winery, offering visitors a tranquil stroll through 10 hectares of regenerated natural bushland, allowing a connection to the surrounding land that inspires the guilding philosophies of the Gemtree Winery.
