The 10th of July marks the day that Queensland is to open its borders to all states barring Victoria, and the sunshine state is well prepared for the southern stampede of domestic visitors. From midday, most travellers are welcome to come up to the warmer weather for a well-deserved getaway after 15 long weeks under quarantine restrictions.

If you are travelling into the state, you will be required to fill out a Queensland Border Declaration Form regardless of your age or vehicle that you choose to travel in. You must also be able to provide correct documentation proving you have not travelled to Victoria within the past 14 days. Travellers using roads to cross the border are warned there will be extensive delays.

Coupled with the reopening of our border, TEQ have launched the Good to Go campaign aiming to inspire visitors to explore the very best of Queensland and reconnect with loved ones as restrictions ease. The campaign was initially targeted at an intrastate level, but now extends interstate to domestic travellers, encouraging them to get outside and immerse themselves in the natural wonders of our very own backyard.

The core message of the campaign is that Queensland's tourism industry is open, ready to welcome visitors and is following COVID Safe guidelines. Businesses can display the 'Good to Go' branding in their marketing efforts if they have the required COVID Safe documentation in order to help assure visitors they are offering a safe travel experience.

We and all of our partners are looking forward to welcoming you all back through our doors and creating a truly unforgettable experience after all of your hard work and effort in the past few months!
