Queenslanders would’ve enjoyed an ease in restrictions this past weekend, as Stage Three restrictions were in effect from midday last Friday, 3rd of July.
Stage 3 restrictions allow businesses to have the maximum amount of patrons at any one time that 4 square metres permits. Small businesses that are up to 200 squared metres are restricted to a maximum of 50 people at a time, allowing 2 squared metres per patron. This restrictions include the continuation of the COVID Safe Industry Plans.
Stage 3 restrictions also brings more hopeful news to Queensland Tourism, as the borders will open to all states barring Victoria from Friday the 10th of July at midday. All visitors from Victoria will be required to undergo mandatory hotel isolation at their own expense. This includes Queensland residents.
Concert venues and theatres are also due to open, further boosting the tourism and events industry and increased experience for traveller to our sunny state!
The updated roadmap identifies all events that will be available from the loosened restrictions and can be found here
